Terms of service
The agreement between you and Brandidate.ai when you use the service.
Last updated 21 September 2026
1. About these terms
Brandidate.ai is run as a business in the United Kingdom. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that business, and “you” means the recruiter, agency or other business using the service. By creating an account you agree to these terms. The name and postal address of the business owner are available on request from terms@brandidate.ai.
2. The service
Brandidate.ai takes a candidate’s CV, or their LinkedIn profile, together with a job description, and produces branded Word documents: a formatted CV, a one-page candidate overview, a client summary and interview preparation. The documents are generated with AI and downloaded straight to you.
3. Your account
You must be 18 or over and using the service for business purposes. Give accurate details when you sign up, keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Accounts are for one business; do not share or resell access.
4. Acceptable use
When you upload a CV, a profile or a job description you confirm that you have the right to do so and a lawful basis for processing it. You agree not to:
- upload content that is unlawful, malicious or that you have no right to share;
- use the service to produce misleading documents about a candidate;
- attempt to break, scrape, reverse engineer, overload or bypass the limits of the service;
- use the service to build a competing product.
5. Data protection
For candidate data you are the data controller and we act as your processor. We process it only to provide the service, on your instructions, and we do not store it. Our privacy policy sets out what happens to it and how we keep it secure. We use a small number of sub-processors to run the service, and a current list is available on request from privacy@brandidate.ai. You agree to our use of them. We will help you respond to requests from candidates where we reasonably can, and will tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your data. You remain responsible for having a lawful basis and for telling candidates that AI tools may be used.
6. AI-generated documents
The documents are written from what you upload. The AI is instructed to use only the information in the CV and never to invent experience, employers, dates or results, but AI can still make mistakes. You must read every document before it goes to a client or a candidate. We do not warrant that the documents are accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose, and you are responsible for what you send on. Brandidate.ai does not score, rank, shortlist or reject candidates.
7. Prices and payment
One generation uses one candidate pack, whether you take a single document or the full set of four. Payments are taken by Stripe; we never handle your card details.
- Pay as you go: 99p per candidate pack, topped up in amounts of £10 or more. Credit does not expire.
- 12-month plans: billed monthly for twelve months. Each month the plan’s allowance of packs resets, unused packs do not carry over, and any packs beyond the allowance are taken from your pay-as-you-go credit.
- Prices are also shown in euros and US dollars. Your currency is fixed once you first pay.
- Prices exclude VAT. If VAT becomes chargeable, it will be added at the applicable rate.
- We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before changing our prices.
8. Refunds and cancellation
If a generation fails, the pack is returned to your balance automatically. Credit is otherwise non-refundable, and unused credit is not refunded if you close your account, except where the law requires it. A 12-month plan is a commitment for its full term and cannot be cancelled part-way through; email billing@brandidate.ai to stop it renewing at the end of the term. Nothing here affects any rights you have under the law that cannot be excluded.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may need to suspend it for maintenance, and we may add, change or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what the service does, we will tell you by email.
10. Intellectual property
We own the service, its software and the Brandidate.ai name and branding. You keep ownership of the content you upload and of the documents generated from it. You grant us the limited licence needed to process that content to produce your documents.
11. Suspension and ending your account
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we believe is being used unlawfully, or where payment fails.
12. Our liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you for all claims connected with the service is limited to the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, lost goodwill or lost data. The service is provided to businesses; if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top, and tell you by email if the change materially affects you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
